How it works
Real consumption = fuel added ÷ distance × 100. This is the most reliable way to measure economy because it uses actual pump volumes, not the dashboard estimate. Tracking several fill-ups smooths out single-trip variance.

Why is my dashboard consumption lower than my measured figure?
Dashboard estimates often run optimistic and can exclude fuel used during idling or cold starts. Measuring from actual fill-ups is more accurate.
How many fill-ups should I track?
At least three. A single tank is affected by short trips, traffic and winter fuel. More tanks smooth out the noise and give a trustworthy average.
