Fuel Tank Range Calculator
Never wonder "how far can I go?" again. Enter your tank capacity and average consumption to see your full range, plus the distance available once your reserve light comes on.
How it works
Full range = tank capacity ÷ consumption × 100. Usable range subtracts the reserve fuel before the light comes on. Real range is lower on cold starts, winter fuel and heavy loads.
Frequently asked questions
Is my real range lower than this?
Often yes. Winter temperatures, short trips, heavy traffic and carrying loads all raise consumption, which shortens range. Use a consumption figure from your recent driving for realism.
How much reserve fuel is typical?
Most cars light the low-fuel warning with 4–8 litres left, which on average gives 40–80 km. It varies by model and slope, so treat the light as "find a station soon", not "50 km left".
