Tire Pressure Calculator

Get a sensible starting point for your tyre pressures based on vehicle type and load. Always check the sticker on the driver door jamb or fuel flap for your exact factory values.

How it works

Pressures are typical baselines for each vehicle class and load. Under-inflation increases wear and fuel use; over-inflation reduces grip. Check pressures cold (car parked a few hours) and use the door sticker values when they differ.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the door sticker different from a generic table?

The sticker is computed for your exact car, its weight and its factory tyre sizes. Use it as the primary source; a generic table is only a starting point.

Should I inflate more for a long motorway trip?

If the car is heavily loaded, the door sticker usually lists a higher "loaded" pressure — use that. Do not exceed the maximum pressure printed on the tyre sidewall.
